Gråsten District Heating Plant
The purpose and operation of the project:
To cool the flow temperature on the water to the district heating plant’s solar system installed in 2012, thereby increasing the efficiency of the solar collectors. The absorption heat pump can provide 700 kW. Effective solar fan area of 19,024 m2 with an expected annual production of 9,700 MWh.
The chilled water circuit of the absorption heat pump produces cold water down to about 13° C, which is used to alternate with the collector circuit. Energy is absorbed from the feed water to the collector circuit, which is returned to the heat pump evaporator, thereby transferring the energy to the heat pump absorber. The absorber is the passage of return district heating water, which in series with the heat pump condenser delivers heated district heating water of about 70° C. Hence, heat from the flow water to the solar collector circuit is transferred to the district heating, so the efficiency is improved for solar prisoners, while the heat is utilized in the district heating network. The heat pump’s propellant is hot water about 150 ° C, which means that the electricity consumption for such a machine is minimal.

To supply, install and commission the absorption heat pump to the customer Gråsten Fjernvarme and to teach the operating personnel in the use of the machine.
