Sæby Sæby District Heating Plant a.m.b.a – Flue Gas Condensation
Objective: Improved energy efficiency on natural gas fired motors
SEG A / S has supplied, installed and commissioned an HS80 DP hot water-driven absorption heat pump with a cooling power of 3.3 MW. The cooling effect is used to cool the flue gases on their two gas engines before the flue gases are passed into the chimney.
Two hot water exchangers, where the gas engine exhaust gases are exchanged with water, heat the drive energy to the heat pump generator at 150° C.
The heat pump produces cooled water about 16° C for flue gas cooling and district heating water with an outlet temperature of 76° C.
