Flue gas condensation on 12 MW straw boiler

Purpose: Improved efficiency on wood chip boiler

In 2020, Hammel district heating was supplied with a complete flue gas condensation plant, where SEG was responsible for the design, delivery and commissioning of the following equipment:

• 2 SEGFlu® flue gas scrubbers
• 2 pcs Desmi Scrubber pumps
• 1 Thermax AHP of 1 MW

In addition to flue gas cooling with a Thermax heat pump, a compressor heat pump is also connected, which cools the flue gas further down to around 15 degrees.

All in all, a super efficient solution.
