FLUE GAS CONDENSATION

Objective: Improved efficiency of waste incineration plants for cogeneration

As one of Northern Europe's largest, and probably the world's most innovative, waste incineration plants, ARC has naturally also implemented flue gas condensation as one of the means to achieve extra high boiler efficiency.

The installed cooling capacity is 32 MW distributed over 8 Thermax absorption heat pumps. The heat pumps are arranged in two parallel series connections (2×4) to achieve the best efficiency and highest possible heating of the district heating water.

SEG's role has been:

  • Heat pump design, operating modes and control loops
  • Delivery and installation of heat pumps.
  • Commissioning and handover
  • The heat pumps were commissioned in early 2018.
