Purpose: Improved efficiency of gas engine systems

SEG A/S has delivered, installed and commissioned an HS80 DP hot water driven absorption heat pump with a cooling capacity of 3.3 MW. The cooling power is used to cool the flue gases on their two gas engines before the flue gases are led into the chimney.

Two hot water exchangers, where the gas engine exhaust gases are exchanged with water, heat the drive energy for the heat pump generator to 150°C.

The heat pump produces chilled water around 16°C for flue gas cooling and district heating water with an outlet temperature of 76°C.
