Purpose: Improved boiler efficiency

SEG has delivered and commissioned a steam-driven single effect absorption heat pump type SS50AP to Wattens paper mill. The purpose of the heat pump is to cool the flue gas so that the flue gas temperature is lowered to 38°C from the previous 65°C+.

The heat pump is driven by steam at 10 bar(g) and the cooling capacity is designed for 1.8 MW.
